My grandmother had Alzheimer's. As the disease progressed, her memory deteriorated, with the most recent memories being the first to go. I noticed that music triggered her. This led me to consider, “what’s the one thing we will remember  to the end....our date of birth.” 

So we created Betty, a working prototype that only requires one thing. The user's date of birth.

Betty will then pull popular music from key moments in the user’s past. These key moments usually accrue between the ages of 15 and 25, the first kiss running up to the proposal. The music played helps trigger these memories.

So far we have built a proof of concept prototype with a raspberry pie and are looking to develop it into a viable product.
