As Generation evolved, it became clear that Three’s social media was our best opportunity to make a lasting impact on the brand itself. With a background in digital and social communication, I stepped up to lead our evolution.

Enter Generation Social: an SAS-style collective of socially adept creatives, account managers, and producers. Our small unit is agile and up-to-date with best practices, becoming experts in creator-led content. We combine top-class social creativity that connects with our key demographic and beyond. Over the three years we've been operating, we've accomplished a lot, from enhancing our relationships with all our brand partners—from football to music and festivals—to creating thumb-stopping, social-first content with mobile device partners.

The results (via Sprinkler) have proven our methods effective. Currently, as a brand, we spend the second-lowest amount of money of any UK Telco/MNO. However, we far outperform all others, achieving almost six times the engagement levels of all other telcos combined. This demonstrates that a nimble, social-first strategy—being close to the brand and working with them as partners and collaborators—is a formula for success.

I have been proud to have work such a colabrative client and a lead a very talented team through this social success, and here’s to the next three years.
